Hey, Killer Bs, let’s talk about getting OLDER! That’s an uplifting topic, right? ?

I know. But we’re going to chat about it anyway, and we’ll go for a really lovely WALK + RUN at the same time.

I have to be honest.  I thought long and hard about whether or not I wanted to post today’s workout.  In a world that feels increasingly curated and pristine, with all of our fake eyelashes and perfect Pinterest dinners, did I really want to be so… real?

And the answer, my friends, was a resounding NO.

NO, I didn’t want to talk about this topic, or well up with tears when it hit too close to home.  I wanted nothing to do with putting myself out there in such a raw state!

I’ve never shied away from showing you my weaknesses before.  You’ve seen me fall out of balance poses, screw up exercise moves, say the wrong words and get lost while counting up to eight.  Why not this?

It’s important, and it affects us all sooner or later.  So let’s do this thing together.

Here are the FAST FACTS for today’s workout:  Level THREE | 2:00 RUN + 1:00 WALK | 200 calories

Hey, let's talk about getting OLDER! That's an exciting topic, right? I know. But we're going to chat about it anyway, and we'll go for a really lovely WALK + RUN at the same time with generous intervals.

I have good news and bad news about your athleticism (and mine), and believe me when I tell you that I’m going to deliver it bluntly!

The bad news:
? We were (with some exceptions) at our athletic peak at age 30.
? We have a LOT more life (hopefully) after age 30 than before.
? We have to deal with this fact by grieving and eventually accepting our physical decline

The good news:
? You can enjoy your athleticism without trying to improve on it.
? You can try new things and experience the thrill of getting better at those things for many years

The part where I start to cry:
? I’m kind of still in the middle of grieving (for several things, not just the loss of youth!), and I don’t have it all figured out just yet, so I’d love to hear from you. Wherever you are on the “bell curve of life” YOU have experience that’s worth sharing, so please do! Leave a comment!
